Packers Buccaners Game Preview

Here is a game that should be over before it’s even started. The Packers should blowout the Buccaners. However, just like last week they are facing a quarterback in McCowan who like Orton seems to have the Packers number. The good news the Buccaners put a number of defensive starters like McCoy on injured reserve. Let’s look at the three things the Packers need to win the game.

  1. Rodgers in a rhythm quickly: Rodgers need to get in a rhythm quickly in the game. Short passes to the tight ends, running backs. This will help the offense start right out the gate in a positive manner. The running game will help but Rodgers needs to get hot.
  2. Tight Ends: I know I say this a lot. But, it concerns me the tight ends are not being used. Come playoff time we need them to take the pressure off Rodgers and the running game. Quarless needs to show he can be a factor in a game.
  3. Secondary: The secondary will be facing a good tandem of receivers in Jackson and Evans. The Packers secondary needs to reassert itself in this game. They need to get turnovers and put the ball back in Rodgers hands.

Even though I seem worried about a 2-12 Buccaner team. I believe that talent wins out in the end. Packers 31-17 Buccaners.
