According to a league source, the Packers have signed fifth-round tight end Andrew Quarless. Quarless’ four-year deal included a $182,425 signing bonus, and has a maximum value of $2.7 million dollars. Quarless (6-4, 254) caught 87 passes for 1,146 yards and 8 touchdowns during an often tumultuous four-year career at Penn State. After catching 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman, Quarless was tripped up by off-field incidents in 2007 and 2008. Quarless was suspended for two games his sophomore season for underage drinking, and in 2008, he was also arrested for DUI and underage drinking. Quarless was also suspended for one game along with two other teammates when police discovered marijuana in their apartment.
