Packers WR Davante Adams Says He Won’t Play, Then Deletes Tweet

Will he or won’t he?

That’s the big question for tonight for the Packers and wide out Davante Adams, who tweeted out Monday that he would not play in tonight’s game against the Falcons.

Then, just like that – the tweet was gone.

“Sorry fans and friends I wont be on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I need to do and proved Im ready but I guess I don’t know my body as well as others. Good luck out there my boys,” Adams said in a tweet that was deleted.

This past week Adams said he didn’t want to get back on the field until he was 100 percent, which clearly he’s not at this point.

“I will be making sure I feel normal — like before it happened — before I step out there,” Adams said Thursday.

“So we’re doing our thing to make sure that that’s the case.”

If Adams does not play which seems likely, it’ll be the second straight game he’s missed.

He didn’t play due to a hamstring injury in the Packers week two win over the Lions.

Adams had been officially listed as questionable after being limited in practice this past week. He indicated in his tweet that he wants to play Monday but is being held out.
