Daniels has been a fixture in the team’s defense during his time with the team, but last season was limited to 10 games due to a foot injury.
This season Daniels was set to make $7.6 million. This was the last season of his contract and the move will clear over $8.3 million in cap space for the Packers.
With Daniels history, the team’s depth chart on the defensive line include Rashan Gary, Dean Lowry, Kenny Clark, Montravius Adams and Kingsley Keke.
