Video: Relive Aaron Rodgers’ First Start for the Packers in a 2008 Thriller Against the Vikings

It was 2008 Week one as the Packers and Vikings went head to head in a battle of NFC North rivals. The team went just 6-10 that season, but it was the dawning of a new era as Aaron Rodgers began his career as the Pack starting QB.

Opening night he got his first win as a starter, going 18-for-22 for 178 yards with a score as the Packers won the opener 24-19.

    It’s been a great run for Rodgers, who was in some circles an obscure pick from Cal. But he’s proven all those teams that skipped him in the draft (especially the 49ers) how wrong they were to not select him.
