Packers RB Lacy Could Play vs. Chiefs Monday

Seattle Seahawks v Green Bay Packers

The Packers received good news Monday on running back Eddie Lacy, who could reportedly be back in the lineup as soon as next Monday, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Test results on his sprained ankle came back negative and ESPN reports the third-year running back “hopes” to play in next week’s Monday Night Football game against Kansas City. Lacy was carted to the locker room after playing eight snaps on the first series of Sunday night’s 27-17 win over Seattle.

Lacy’s early exit left sixth-year veteran James Starks as the only other running back available with third-string rookie Alonzo Harris among the team’s seven inactives. Starks responded with 20 carries for 95 yards in 51 offensive snaps.

Lacy has dealt with a bad wheel before. He played through a badly sprained right ankle during the final stretch of his rookie season in 2013. He often was seen in the locker room with an air-boot during the practice week, but didn’t miss any games because of the injury.
