Preview Packers and Bears

The Packers are off their bye week and ready for the stretch run. Aaron Rodgers is healthy and ready to go. The defense hopefully will improve on its run defense. Being dead last in the NFL against the run doesn’t bode well for winning a Super bowl. If the Packers are to overtake the Lions for first place, they’ll need to start getting these areas of their game perfected.

  1. Running Game- Eddie Lacy needs to get more consistent if the Packers are to make a run for a Super bowl. Know the offensive line is banged up and will be tested if Lang and Sitton cannot go. Starks has to remain healthy and help Lacy get a rest.
  2. Defense line- The defensive line needs to stop the run. Plain and simple. No team can make it to the Super bowl with a poor rush defense. With that Clay Matthews needs to step up his game. He is the engine that drives the defensive bus.
  3. Tight end- The tight ends need to step it up for the offense to take it to the next level. When we had Finely he stretched the field making it difficult for the defense to cover him. Rodgers needs to make the defense fear him, but it hasn’t happened yet. Once this happens our offense could be unstoppable.

I believe this game will be close early, but the Packers pull away 28-17.
