Packers and Vikings Preview

Green Bay and Minnesota. It’s an early week for football. Which is good for fans, not so much for the players. The Packers offense looked relaxed and the defense got the job done against the Bears. The Vikings are coming off a big win against Atlanta. Their new coach Mike Zimmer has had success against quarterbacks like Tom Brady and last year against Rodgers.

Three things to watch.

The Defensive line: Last Sunday Forte shredded the Packers defensive line. Even though Adrian Peterson is not playing, the Vikings have nice tandem of backs. If the Packers are going to be successful they have to be able to stop the run on a consistent basis.

Offensive Line: Will this be the game the Packers offensive line can pass protect and be able to open holes for the running game. Last week they pass protected very well, but still couldn’t open big holes for Lacy. Although Lacy still is not been himself this season.

Eddie Lacy: This is the game Lacy has to break out. He cannot continue to play tentative. I hope the concussions haven’t taken a toll on him already. If so, Starks has to be ready to go and give the running game a lift. My final thoughts are that the Packers will win this game.

This game could be a blowout but I’m thinking the Vikings will make it a better game than expected. Green Bay 31-21.
