Review Packers Vikings

Thoughts of the game between the Vikings and Green Bay. I know a tie is like kissing your sister. Which is pretty disturbing that someone would equate a tie in a football game to kissing your sister. All the strangeness aside, the Packers still have a chance to win the NFC north.

First the good: Eddie Lacy has to be up for rookie of the year. He took the team on his back and showed that to play this game you have the desire to win.

The Bad: Scott Tolzein. He just looks like the game is too much for him right now. I still stick to what I said, I really do like him. Give Tolzein the offseason and playing in the Preseason. Who knows we might have good back up for Rodgers.

The Good: Matt Flynn. We all have bumped into that old friend you haven’t seen in years. You start talking and it’s like old times. It was like old times on Sunday. Now Flynn needs to win before we forget our old friend again.

The Bad: The defense. Let’s be honest this defense stinks. It has no identity. No player has led this defense. Granted Matthews had two sacks but with that cast on he is still limited. What happened to our run defense? It’s like the defense is playing scared. McCarthy better start challenging this defense and the coaching staff. No more excuses.

The Good: The offense definitely played better. I’m not sure if it was Flynn, Lacy, or the terrible Viking defense. The offense seemed to be lifted up with Flynn. We’ll wait and see against Detroit.

I give the Packers a 2 out of 5 for this game. Detroit is up next. This is another Packers must WIN game for a chance of making the playoffs. It’s going to be like that every week from here on out.
