Preview Of Packers and Eagles

Green Bay and Philadelphia. I don’t how to say it, this is back to 80’s early nineties for the Packers. You remember those dark days before Favre and Rodgers? Actually, I would rather forget them. Our quarterbacks were Jim Zorn, Rich Campbell, David Whitehurst. We did have Lynn Dickey and Don Majowski who gave us a glimmer of hope. Time to pray for Rodgers early recovery.

Back to the preview of the game. Three things to watch.

1. Seneca Wallace: Seneca has to be a game manager. McCarthy said, he would have a game plan to utilize Seneca’s strengths. Huh? I thought it would be a good idea to play to his weaknesses. To give Seneca a break he never played on a powerhouse team. Seattle was an upcoming team when he backed up Matt Hasslebeck. Cleveland well, it’s Cleveland.

2. Packers defense : Datone Jones had a sack last week. Yeah! Hopefully, this is a good omen. Matthews is coming back. He’s got a club on his hand. But, I’ll take Matthews at seventy-percent any day. Perry might play too. The defense needs to make a difference in these next few games. The time is now.

3. Packer fans: I was going to go with the running game, coaching, special teams. This is the chance for all Packer Fans to band together. If you’re going to the game scream your head off, make it impossible for the Philadelphia’s quarterback to change the play. Please don’t boo. It won’t help at all. Rodgers hopefully will be back, and if we can will a couple of wins in Rodgers absence. The Packers still might have a chance to make the playoffs.

My final thoughts are that the Packers will win this game. I changed my pick Packers 24-21 Philadelphia. We have to stay positive.
