Ticket Preview: MNF Showdown Packers Vs. Bears

In a continuation of one of the biggest rivalries in football, the Chicago Bears will head into Lambeau Field on Monday night to play the Green Bay Packers. Tickets for this game are at a surprisingly low, for Bears-Packers standards, $214 average on the secondary market, making it just the fourth highest priced game of Week 9. That average is down 31% over the past week and 15% below the average price for Green Bay Packers tickets at home this season. It is, however, 37% above the average for Chicago Bears tickets on the road. The starting price for this game is $97.

The Bears defense has not been the typical Bears defense Chicago fans have been accustomed to in past season and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be looking to take advantage of that. Despite losing so many receivers to injury, Rodgers has not let it decrease his level of play. Rodgers has completed 67.1% of his passes, with 15 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He also has nine touchdowns in Green Bay’s last three games against Chicago, including a five touchdown game in Week 16 of 2011. That game also featured Josh McCown at quarterback for the Bears as this game will because of an injury Jay Cutler suffered in Chicago’s last game against Washington in Week 7. The Bears had a bye last week, which should have given McCown some much needed preparation and practice time with the first team before he makes his first start since 2011.

The Packers have also won the past five meetings between these two teams. This could be a great chance for Green Bay fans to see a game in this storied rivalry for a below average cost.
