Greg Jennings did complete one-eighty on his comments about the Packer organization and Aaron Rodgers. I am sure he would give anything to be with the Packers. With the injuries Jennings would be a force in the Packers offense. Instead, Jennings is on his third quarterback this season.
Let’s look at the upcoming game. Three things to look at regarding this game.
- Adrian Peterson vs. Packers Defense line- Packers have been gashed by Peterson in three out of there four latest games. Peterson has rushed for over 100 yards. Including over 200 yards and 199 yards in last years games. This year might be different. The Packers defense is fourth against the run. The defensive line is one of the areas in which the Packers have depth. The Packers need to stay focused in their pursuit lanes of Peterson. If the Packers do that, the Packers have a good chance to win.
- Jared Allen vs. Bakhtiari- Does anyone remember Allen Barbe? I hope not. Allen uses Barbe as a revolving door. Bakhtiari has done pretty good. The Packers need to help Bakhtiari. This is his first time in the dome. It’s hard on the veterans to hear the count of Rodgers. Being a rookie is next to impossible. Bakhtiari needs to be able to handle Allen in the run game by himself. I’m sure the tight ends will be used in other ways to help the passing game.
- Special Teams – Minnesota scored their only touchdown against the New York Giants by special teams. The Packers special teams has not been special at all. Jarrett Bush is coming back and that should help. The Vikings cannot continue to get good field position. This will only help Ponder’s confidence. Crosby had a miss last week. Let’s hope it’s not a sign to come.
The Packers and Vikings seem to play each other tough in the Metro dome. In the end the Packers are to much for the Vikings. Packers 31-21 Vikings
