Thoughts after week two Washington and Green Bay. The Packers bounced back nicely from last week at San Francisco. I want to look at the good and bad of the game.
First the good: Aaron Rodgers is the man. Rodgers had 335 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half. He finished with 450 yards passing. When Rodgers is on, is there anyone better? He is in mid-season form. He looks fresh and his arm is a good as ever.
The Bad: The secondary truly missed Morgan Burnett again. M.D Jennings and McMillian looked average. They brought Banjo in and he was not the answer, Thompson needs to address this issue quickly.
The Good: James Starks looked like he did in 2010. If Lacy does make it back against Cincinnati. Lacy has a concussion, you never know with a concussion. Then again Starks is not a sure bet either.
The Bad: The offense line. Rodgers was sacked four times. I believe that makes seven times in two games. The Packers play Cincinnati next week and their defensive line is one of the best in the NFL. The Packers need to find a way to keep Rodgers upright.
The Good: The Packers receiving corps. When Jones, Finley, Cobb, and Nelson are on top of their game. There are no better receiving corps in the NFL.
I give the Packers a 3.5 out of 5 for this game. Cincinnati is up next. The good news is that Cincinnati is on a short week against the physical Steelers.
