The Packers are in trouble. Let’s face it Packer fans. There have been numerous reasons why the Packers are not getting it done. Let’s review some of the reasons that are being thrown out there by the media and fellow Packer fans.
First of all, the Packer fans saying Rodgers needs to stop making commercials and focus on football are ludicrous. The commercials are filmed in the offseason according to Rodgers. Really Packer Fans, filming a commercial makes a top athlete tired and unfocused on Sunday? If that’s true somebody better call Peyton Manning and tell him to stop making commercials.
Second, the offense is out of sync. A blind man could see that. The preseason was a clear indicator of that. The offense never gelled. Rodgers and the offense never seemed to click during the preseason. Rodgers never had Jennings in the preseason to throw to and get the chemistry back from the offseason. Cedric Benson came in late and the rookies at receiver never really distinguished themselves.
Third, the turnover in the coaching staff. I think losing Joe Philbin was a big deal. Rodgers speaks of Philbin in great regard. Which leads me to the next point the coaching staff. When you bring in new coaches or switch a coaches duties it’s going to take time for the coaches to relate to the players.
Fourth, Mike McCarthy’s play calling is becoming a little too predictable. That might be due to the loss of Joe Philbin. Clements is no longer just Rodgers quarterback coach, he now is the offense coordinator and has to make sure the offense is doing well leaving Rodgers on his own.
Lastly, there are other reasons like Jermichael Finley or Packer’s version of Terrell Owens as I like to call him. Jermichael needs to play football; chemistry with Rodgers is not the issue catching the ball is the issue.
I didn’t even get into the defense which I believe is doing okay due to the many rookies that are playing. Hopefully the defense will improve before the end of the season.
Packer fans we just need to stay together as one Packer nation, keep the faith and know the Packers will turnaround the season.
