Questions for the 2012 Packer Season

It’s a new season Packer fans full of hope and excitement. The Packers are considered Super Bowl favorites. That being said, it’s not all perfect in Title town there are some questions that could  affect how the season turns out. I look forward to an exciting Packer season and hopefully another Super bowl celebration.

In no particular order here are my five questions going into the new season:

Is Aaron Rodgers going to make it through the entire season without getting hurt? That is my biggest question, if Aaron Rodgers is lost for any length of time. It will be hard for Graham Harrell to keep the team afloat. It’s simply too much to ask of Harrell he’s still far behind in his development. Ted Thompson will never sign a veteran quarterback; he would have done that by now.

Is Jermichael Finely finally going to live up to expectations? If he can live up to the hype defenses will have little chance of stopping the Packers. Finley has shown flashes especially in the Bear game last year. The Bears had no answer for him. Jermichael just needs to play football and leave the attitude.

Is the offense line going to hold up? This is a major concern and goes back to my first question. If the offense line gets beat up and Rodgers is sacked on a regular basis things will go downhill fast. The Packers simply have no quality depth. Derek Sherrod is not even close to being healthy and let’s not fool ourselves he wasn’t that good when he was playing.

Is the defense going to stop giving up the big plays? I like what Thompson did in the draft. That was huge step towards fixing the defense. The draft is the luck of the draw. Perry might work out, but if he can’t get Matthews an opportunity to attack the quarterback, then what will Dom Capers do? Who will he replace Perry with? Our secondary is still a work in progress, and our linebacker unit would have been the strength of the defense if Bishop didn’t get hurt.

Will McCarthy be able to keep this team focused? Last year, I thought that was a problem. I know 15-1 and he didn’t keep them focused? In order to have the great season you have to be focused. Their seemed an air of arrogance with the Packer players. James Jones told his parents not to come to the Giants playoff game, rather come when we play San Francisco. Does that seem like a coach who has all players focused? The Packer players seem entitled by the media and fans expecting they should repeat. What are the odds the Giants beating them again in Lambeau?

I would like to hear from Packer nation. What questions do you have regarding the new season?
