James Starks suffers sprained right knee

UPDATE: At his Monday press conference, McCarthy said Starks is sore and has a knee sprain and ankle sprain, according to Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.  

Packers running back James Starks left the game in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 35-26 win over Tampa after spraining his right knee and did not return to the game.

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Packers coach Mike McCarthy called it “a sprain” and said he’d know more about it Monday.

    James Starks was injured laying on his back in a intentional twist of his knee to put him out of the game, quite obvious.

    Let’s hope it is in fact just a sprain and not a tear of the acl…Now we’re down to Grant and Saine (and Kuhn) vs. Detroit on Thursday…
