James Jones wants to see more action

Packers wide receiver James Jones knows that seeing the rock on a consistent basis is unlikely when you consider the plethora of talent surrounding him, yet, he’d enjoy being more incorporated in the gameplan, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

“I don’t care about the ball at all, but I truly want to be in the game plan,” Jones commented. “Everybody plays this game because they want to be playing. I’m not selfish. I understand we have a lot of weapons. I’m not saying I want the ball every play. But I think I deserve to be on the field more than I was.”

The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Jones had a strong 2010 campaign, receiving 50 throws for 679 yards and five scores, while hauling in 11 rockets from Rodgers for 144 yards and two touchdowns in four post-season affairs. A free agent in 2011, the San Jose State alum inked a three-year, $9.6 million deal with the Packers on August 1.

Jones caught one pass for one yard in the club’s 42-34 triumph over the Saints last Thursday night.
