Packers Release DL Justin Harrell and LB Brady Poppinga

The Packers have waived defensive lineman Justin Harrell and linebacker Brady Poppinga according to Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee.

Harrell’s base salary this season was only $650,000, but the oft-injured former first-round draft pick was due a roster bonus of $575,000. Poppinga, who was coming off a major knee injury, was scheduled to make a base salary of $2,050,000 this season and also has a roster bonus of $300,000 plus a $150,000 workout bonus, giving him a salary-cap figure of $2.5 million this season.

    Never really cared for Poppinga, seemed to lose his way around the field. Harrell was a wash out from the go…time and money wasted.
