Packers Should Forget the Thought of Moving Matt Flynn

Football News Now writer Kristopher Fiecke writes today that the Packers should forget about moving Matt Flynn, and they should do what they can to keep him as the part of the teams roster.

Rumors have been persistent this offseason that the Packers would strongly consider trading quarterback Matt Flynn if the right offer came along once the NFL resolves its labor dispute.

Matt Williamson of ESPN and Scouts, Inc. writes that the Packers need to be very cautious when assessing their situation at quarterback. They do have an elite quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, but like every player, he’s not invincible.

Rodgers has a history of concussions. When Rodgers was out with a concussion in 2010, Flynn seized the opportunity and showed that he could lead a team in the NFL. His value may never be higher than it will be prior to this season.
