ESPN: Collins vs Bears fan incident coverage.

Two days after a post Bears game confrontation with an unruly fan, Packers safety Nick Collins apologized to his team and fans. “This is a situation that I could have walked away from but, you know, heat of the moment,” Collins said. “Things happen. Both sides [were] out of line.”  Collins wouldn’t go into details, but he didn’t contradict a WITI-TV report that said the fan spit and used a racial slur.  “You know, it’s going to happen,” Collins said. “I’ve got to be a bigger person and keep walking.”

I am on his side. No fan should act like that and in the heat of the moment I would have acted the same. Then again him being the professional he could have walked away. These are my boys and I live in Texas….Go GB…bahh Cowboys

Hey Nick, you are a big man to apologize for what you did. Reminded too easily of Ditka acting like a child a few years ago at Lambeau, but what’s done is done and you are the Man! I was born & raised in Green Bay now living & loving in Daytona Beach. We catch our beloved Packers every Sunday at the Oyster Pub … GO PACK!!
