Packers Not Worried About Excessive Work During Off-Season Practices

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports it doesn’t look like the contact during non-padded practices is much of an issue for the Pack:

It doesn’t sound like excessive contact during non-padded practices is an issue in Green Bay. “There’s rules, and we adhere to them,” said McCarthy. “(General manager) Ted Thompson is very conscientious of everything we do, so I have another set of eyes if we get a little rambunctious as a coaching staff. I don’t think we’ve ever had an issue with any of our player reps. I’ve never been part of a conversation where there was a concern.” McCarthy said the Packers take the players’ safety into account by investing in high-end field turf and following a specific training camp schedule. “I would think our players respect the way that they are treated and the way they’re trained here in Green Bay,” said McCarthy.
