Lang to miss OTA’s after having wrist surgery

T.J. Lang had wrist surgery, and for now is going to miss OTA’s, but should be back for training camp.

If T.J. Lang is going to compete for a starting job on the Green Bay Packers’ offensive line, he’ll have to do it starting in training camp. The Packers second-year offensive lineman underwent surgery on his left wrist on April 5 and won’t be able to participate in organized team activity practices when they begin next week. The source said the Packers’ medical staff believes Lang should be ready when training camp begins in late July. Lang, who played in all 16 games – including three starts – as a rookie fourth-round pick last season, is seen as the heir apparent to veteran Mark Tauscher but may also compete for the starting left guard spot with veterans Daryn Colledge and Jason Spitz.
