Blackmon, Colledge and Tauscher

1. Will Blackmon has a torn-acl and is out for the year. This opens a roster spot. What a shame for such a fine return man and great team player has to be placed on season-ending IR. We need someone to step-up. Obvious candidates to replace him are Jordy Nelson and, why not try Brett Swain as well.

2. Darryn Colledge has a knee sprain. Thankfully, he’ll have an extra week, along with Chad Clifton, to heal, before week six at Lambeau versus the improved Lions. He’s vowed to be active for that game. Let’s hope he’s correct and back as the starting left guard.

3. Mark Tauscher met with Packers coaches, staff and physicians on Tuesday. If all goes well, he’ll sign by Friday. Hopefully it will go well, because he’s just what the doctor ordered.
