This Team Needs to Show Some Emotion!

Try not to overreact to what happened to the Packers against the Bengals on Sunday. We all hope and really want to believe that the game will eventually be seen as an anomaly. However, it is hard to overlook all the things that went horribly wrong.

Think about what feeling you get from watching the first two weeks of Packers football and compare it to other NFL teams you have seen play.

There are some bad teams out there and the Packers don’t seem like one of them. There is talent on this team. The Packers have the ability, the players and the coaching to win. What can be seen with good teams, that can’t be seen with the Packers, is raw emotion. The Packers are playing some very uninspired football.

A lot may have to do with the youth and inexperience of the players, but a winning mentality needs to be instilled. Could the coaches be getting too wrapped up in the details? The simple emotions of the game are getting overlooked. It looks lost in the players and it seems lost at Lambeau.

We always hear about how pro football is a “business” and players referring to it as their “job.” How would things change if the players would remember football is a game and just how fun it is to play?

I’m for a steady hand. Don’t get too high with the highs. Don’t get too low with the lows. Keep it steady. Do the work. FANS are for going up and down. One thing I’d like all to take away is the fact that the preseason is THE PRESEASON and means VERY LITTLE.

The regular season matters. And we have reasons for serious concern. But keep your heads and keep it positive (but not ignorant or unrealistic). We have “issues” … let’s see how we deal with them over the next couple games, especially the NEXT.

    Go Packers.

Frustrating game on Sunday, but there’s still plenty of football left to be played. It’s not the end of the world, we’re still undefeated in both the division and conference, so if we’ve got to lose than out of conference isn’t the end of the world.

I think the defense will come around; Dom Kapers has a fantastic track record in this league as a coordinator. My concern is on the offense. The OL can’t pass or run block, so Rogers may be in for a very long season.

Roll on to Sunday with fingers crossed. I just want a win, I won’t be picky.
