Updated Packers Injury Report-Sat., Sept. 12th

Well, here’s the latest…
1. Will Blackmon, our top punt returner, after being injured August 22nd with a “deep quadriceps bruise,” practiced on Friday. He practiced full speed and looked sharp. He’s listed as Questionable. My take:He’s playing…at least on punt returns.
2. Brandon Jackson, back-up running back, second-string behind Ryan Grant, he’s Doubtful. He did not practice all week. My take:He’s out this week.
3. Matt Flynn, second-string qb and special teams holder on FGs. Strained right throwing shoulder. Listed as probable. He’s playing.
4. Aaron Rouse, back-up safety and special teams player. Strained hamstring. Listed as probable. He’s playing.
5. B.J. Raji, defensive lineman. Strained ankle, listed as questionable. This call truly is 50-50. If he does play, he’ll be limited to about thirty snaps.
6. Derrick Martin, not on the injured list. He’s rapidly learning the defensive and special teams playbook. My best guess is he’ll sit this week. There’s a 40% probability he’ll play.
7. Nick Barnett, not on injured list. Recovering from a torn acl last November vs. the Vikings. My take: He’s not 100% yet. He’ll play 40-60% of the defensive snaps.

  1. All pacckers are fighter, I know they can recover after the injury. The fans will be happy of this report.

  2. John Zoul says:

Well, the bottom line was: Blackmon (quad)was kept off the 45-man roster, B. Jackson (ankle) was out, as was B.J. Raji (ankle), Derrick Martin,
Quinn Johnson and Brad Jones. We left two other players off the playing roster…Don’t recall Spencer Havner playing…who was number eight? A lineman?
