Pro Football Weekly reports that the Pack has come to terms with fifth-round fullback Quinn Johnson:
The Packers announced the signing of fifth-round FB Quinn Johnson late Wednesday afternoon. Terms of the contract for the first of Green Bay’s two fifth-round picks this season were not immediately available.
Johnson is the sixth of the Packers’ eight 2009 draft picks to sign with the team. He appeared in 40 career games at Louisiana State, including 15 starts, and carried the ball 16 times for 34 yards and five touchdowns, in addition to catching five passes for 54 yards. Daily team observers believe Johnson has an outside shot at claiming the starting FB job.
The team also announced it has released TE Carson Butler.
