Jennings Says Favre Not a Distraction

Packers WR Greg Jennings is the latest current player to speak out about the return-to-be for quarterback Brett Favre. Jennings told the Star Tribune that he’s more than happy that the drama about Favre coming back to the Packers is done, and that he feels fine if the QB does end up in purple playing in Minnesota.

“I don’t care,” Jennings said Wednesday. “I’m like, ‘Let him go.’ To each his own. We’re focused on what we’re doing in Green Bay and if he shows up in that purple jersey then he’s the enemy now.”

Last season (and the past few for that matter) Jennings along with the rest of the Packers have had to deal with the offseason distraction of if Favre would be back or not. Now that the team has Aaron Rodgers as their starter coming off a decent first season as the full-time guy, Jennings says if Favre wants to come back – let him play – just don’t assume it will bother the Packers.

“Last year we had a lot of ‘What ifs?’ That “if” was kind of floating around above everybody’s head. But this year there is no doubt about who’s the guy. We’re coming in solid, everybody knows what to expect from everyone else and there’s no excuse,” he said.

“I’ve said that all of minicamps, the OTAs and everything. There is no excuse this year. We know what we have as a team. We can’t keep using the fact that we’re a young ballclub. We’re going to always be a young ballclub until we grow up someday and so we’re growing up. It’s all on us.”

I swear I cannot wait for Kampman or Clay Mathews Jr to stick their helmets right into his ribs!

Favre’s dramatics and penchent for being a diva are dull and boring now. Whatever he has left he better save for Lambeau Field….can’t wait to hear the fans reaction on that one!

Maybe he will start crying for Randy Moss again! His locker will be up in the administrative offices, maybe along side Chilly!

Keep taking our trash……it hasn’t helped thus far. A running game is all you have. a federal appeals court is the only reason your defense will be competetive. I am hoping you will make the playoffs, and then the Steroid users will have to serve out their 4 game suspensions.

A losing orginization with a ‘choke’ for a coach…..and an old diva for a QB – whats there to sweat?
