Packers to Make a Run at Cowboys LB Kevin Burnett

Today’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the Packers are taking a hard look at a couple of free agents who could have a big impact on the 2009 season. The first of which is Dallas linebacker Kevin Burnett, a former second-round draft choice who will be entering his fifth season in 2009.

The paper states that “Of all the remaining linebackers, Burnett might have the most potential because of his athleticism and untapped ability.”

While the Pack have interest, no meeting has been set up yet, probably due to the the former University of Tennessee linebacker being in Oakland Tuesday and will be in San Diego Wednesday. Two other teams are interested in bringing in Burnett, but have not yet set up official visits.
