Packers Monday Free Agent Tidbits

Lets start with big news of the weekend that wasn’t…

I have no problem with the fact that the Team wouldn’t make an offer Chris Canty without bringing him first. If your going to throw big money at a guy like that you definitely want a medical opinion. The Fact the TT even go in the race was a shock to me. It might show just how important new personal might be in the new scheme so it looks like Ted may be shopping a bit anyway.

The news today is that a couple of Dom Capers old Players are hitting the market, Jason Taylor & Vonnie Holliday were released today for cap reasons.(I wonder why the redskins would need to clear cap space?) Both Players played for Dom in Miami in 2006 & 2007. I hope TT makes a run a them, they may be getting a little older but could fill the void for a couple season while developing younger player. I doubt TT will go after them but A man can dream right.

Elsewhere:

The situation in Denver with Cutler in Denver seems eerily failure to me. Disgruntled Quarterback represented by “Bus” Cook crying to the media about how he was mis treated by the front office. I won’t be amazed if he starts sending text messages to Ed Werder in the middle of the night soon… Aside from that I can already hear the Twin Cites Tabloid Media hyping a Trade for him that won’t happen.

After a weekend of Hype in Vikings Land WR T.J Houshmandzadeh decided to sign with the Seahawks. This makes me very happy last summer I had to all the hype about the Mullet Freak Jarred Allen and how he was going to be the difference maker in MN. T.J made the right choice who would you rather catch passes from Matt Hasselbeck or Sage Rosenfels? I wonder what no name bum the Vikes will have play QB in 2010

Finally Happy Trails Colin Cole your five-year, $21.4 million contract that includes $6 million in guaranteed money is way more than TT was going to give you
