Packers Fire Defensive Coordinator Bob Sanders

From: National Football Post
The Packers have fired defensive coordinator Bob Sanders. There have been rumors floating that there could be major changes to the Packers defensive coaching staff this offseason after a dismal season that saw the unit drop from 11th to 20th in the NFL this season. During his season-ending press conference head coach Mike McCarthy said he was not happy with the team’s results this year and would be evaluating his staff to see if changes needed to be made.
“All of our schemes are under evaluation right now. That’s what you do right now. That’s what this time is for. We’ll look at the run defense, we’ll look at all those things. We’ll look at the base concepts in normal d-and-d all the way through. That’s what you spend the time for. That’s why you make educated decisions,” McCarthy said.

I completely agree with the decision to let go of Bob Sanders. The Packers can’t take a chance on this same defense next season.
