Grant’s Big Day Grinds Out Big Win for Packers

The Packers decided Sunday that they would win or lose on the shoulders of one player, and for at least this week, that one player was not going to be Aaron Rodgers. It was Ryan Grant. The back torched the Bears defense during the Packs 37-3 victory that puts them, the Bears and Vikings all in a three-way tie in the NFC North with six weeks left in the season.

Grant ran for 145 yards and a score, and it was his power running through the Bears defense that has evened up the division. It was just the 2nd 100+ yard game of the year for Grant, who did struggle early in the season. “I have felt better and better,” Grant said. “This is the best I’ve felt all season, so I do feel like I’m getting in a groove. We need to keep it going.”

The back who signed a four-year deal worth $30 mil proved his worth to the Packers Sunday. He sat out part of training camp, then had a hamstring injury that shelved the early part of his season. Now he’s back, and with the Pack getting a running game on track, the team can make a serious run at a second straight division title.
