Tough Guy Rodgers Guts Out Another Solid Effort

Aaron Rodgers gritted his teeth yesterday, and once again looked to show Packers fans that he is tough enough to play when he’s hurt.  Rodgers with his sprained shoulder didn’t seem to have many ill effects of it as he was able to lead the Packers to a big road win, 27-17 over the Seahawks to break the teams three-game losing streak.

“Everybody plays with injuries in this league. But to not practice for two weeks, to not throw the ball at all, I’m proud the way I was able to play today,” Rodgers said.  He wasn’t lights out against the Hawks, but was good enough to throw for 208 yards while going 21-for-30 with two TD’s and no interceptions.

The Packers respond to Rodgers, and it would have been a shame for him to miss playing time in his first season with the injury.  While injuries have been something that has held him back in the past, he has made sure to fight through this one, and as long as it doesn’t get any worse, he’ll stay in the lineup and continue to play well.

The team is now 3-3, and now have a big game Sunday vs Peyton Manning and the Colts.  After that Rodgers will have a much deserved week off, as the team starts to prepare for a critical four-game stretch against the Titans (road), Vikings (road), vs Chicago and at New Orleans.  Those games and Rodgers play could make or break the Packers season.
