Rodgers Makes First NFL Start Tonight vs Cincy

Aaron Rodgers makes his first start in the National Football League tonight when the Packers host the Bengals in an exhibition game at Lambeau Field.  Rodgers is expected to play about a quarter with the number one offense tonight.  Rodgers says running through the tunnel as the Packers’ starting quarterback has been his dream for a long time.

He says he hopes there will be more cheers than boos.  Rodgers’ predecessor, Brett Favre, practiced for the first time Saturday with his new team, the New York Jets.  The practice drew more than 10-thousand cheering fans, five times the usual number .  The Jets have announced that Favre will start in their next exhibition game on Saturday against Washington.
