Brett Favre won’t be playing for the Packers. That’s the only certainty coming out of Favre’s lengthy discussions with Packers head coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy decided that Favre was still too emotional over recent troubles with management. The next step is likely to be a trade. There’s a report in the “Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel” that Favre has spoken with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and may be open to playing for them. The “Tampa Tribune” reports that a trade is likely to be finalized today.

I’m just not sure who to believe… Did Brett really turn into an “insubordinate employee”, is Coach Mike just throwing all his weight around, or is Ted Thompson the ass we all thought he was? The only thing for sure is that these Jets fans (and ticket windows) will finally have something to cheer about. I, for one, will be keeping my packers shrine lit, but Rodgers better get his act together! Oh, BTW, I would pay my life savings to see Brett destroy Rodgers in a steel cage match!!
