Favre Reportedly Considering Payoff Offer

Brett Favre is reportedly considering a 20-million-dollar payoff offer from the Packers. ESPNews reported late last night that Favre is giving serious consideration to the offer, which would give him 2-million-dollars-a-year-over the next ten years to stay retired. In a text message to an ESPN reporter, Favre reportedly said the offer, though “awkward and unsettling for most, may be the best in the end.”
Favre’s application for reinstatement has yet to be okayed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell chose to wait another day before granting Favre reinstatement from retirement. Favre had the engines running on a private plane from Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Green Bay on Thursday afternoon when Goodell made his announcement.

The serious question that needs to be raised is how this whole thing screwed up the packers draft??? Because had Favre made a decision before the draft—the packers would have drafted way differently. So even though I am a huge Brett fan, i believe this whole mess is his mistake and I don’t blame the packers at all.
