Posted by Matt Loede on April 1st, 2008 filed in News

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to get one heck of a debut. The Packers will be playing the Vikings on Monday Night Football during the NFL’s Kickoff  Weekend.   The defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants will officially start the 2008 NFL regular season by hosting the NFC East rival Washington Redskins.

The Giants and ‘Skins will play on Thursday, September 4th.  That weekend’s Sunday night game will feature the Indianapolis Colts against the Chicago Bears in a rematch of Super Bowl 41 on September 7th. Monday Night Football will once more feature a doubleheader for Week One.  The early game will have the Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings.  In the nightcap, the Denver Broncos will travel to Oakland to face the Raiders.  The rest of the 2008 schedule will be announced in April.

Favre Fest 2008 at Will’s Northwoods Inn in Chicago Il - It’s time to celebrate and honor the career of our favorite (or favre-orite) legendary quarterback, Brett Favre. We’re going to do it up right - Will’s style! We’ll have free hot-dogs, burgers, brats, cheese and sausage trays, complete with cheese curds, and plenty of give-aways during our free “half-time” raffle. We’ll also serve our usual gameday beer specials including $9 pitchers and $5 32-once cups of Lite and Leinenkugel drafts. AND, we will be showing “Favre 4 Ever” and “Superbowl XXXI” on all of our TVs! We’re also going to unvail the huge framed photo that we took in the bier garten with Frank Winters back on December 30th! This will be an all day celebration, but festivities will officially get rolling around 2pm. Thanks Brett! Apering will be Annette Summersett.
