As an exclusive rights player, Green Bay Packers re-signed safety Atari Bigby to a one-year deal; Bigby, whose tender from the Packers is $445,000, was a starting safety last year and played progressively better – especially near the end of the season. According to Bigby’s agent, Jack Bechta, he thinks that Bigby and the team will be ready to negotiate a long-term contract, perhaps as soon as this regular season.

Couldn’t be happier that the pack resigned atari. he progressed steadily during the season, but picked it up big time in the playoffs. he’s a clutch, hard-hitting safety and i hope a long term deal happens before the end of the 08 season.
So glad this one did not slip through the cracks. He’s been a stand out and I hope he continues to play with ferocity.
i am so looking forward to atari snatching up some interceptions and making some big hits in 2008. i hope he gets a long term deal ASAP. i already got my number 20 jersey a month ago for next season. GO PACK!!!!
