Brett in his early days

Packers’ legendary quarterback Brett Favre will say his farewells today with the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field as backdrop.  Favre has announced that he will retire from the NFL, but has yet to speak publicly about his decision.  Meanwhile, heir apparent Aaron Rodgers says he’s ready to lead the team .  Rodgers has waited three years for the chance to do that, all the while learning from Favre. Rodgers told ESPN.com that he knows you can’t replace a legend.  He said, ” All I can do is try to be the best quarterback I can be.”  He called Favre “the greatest quarterback ever.”

I was born in Racine, Wis. and have followed the Packers forever. This is one team that is special and the loss of Brett will leave an emptiness in all our hearts. His spirit for the game and team leader was awesome. I just want to wish him and his family all the best.
    God Bless
