Moss’ Travels May Land Him with the Packers

Moss to the Pack?
All the talk about Randy Moss not signing a new deal with the Pats may be coming to a head, as there are now reports that the record-setting wide out WILL test the free agent market. Word from sources is that Moss and the Pats are not near a new deal, and that Moss is not about to give the Pats a break on what he wants contract wise after coming to them from the Raiders in a draft day deal last season. So what team is in position to land Moss? Try the Packers.

Yes, the same Packer team that wanted Moss last season looks as if they may be the front-runner this time around. Moss’ possible move to the land of cheese could have a great deal to do with if QB Brett Favre retires or comes back for another season. One story going around is that Moss really did want to go to Green Bay last season, but made the most of it when the Raiders turned around and made a deal with the Pats.

No question that if Moss signs with the Pack that they will be the favorite along with the Cowboys to win the NFC in 2008. Last season in New England Moss was awesome, catching 98 passes for 1493 yards and a record 23 touchdowns. Moss along with Donald Driver and Greg Jennings would give Green Bay one heck of a passing attack. If Favre puts a bug in managements ear that he’ll stick around if Moss comes to the team, look for the Pack to make a move on Moss sooner rather than later.

Would be a tough pill to swallow, what with his antics at Lambeau with the Vikes a few years ago, but who knows…might be worth a consideration.
