New Packers’ CEO Mark Murphy says he expects Brett Favre to return for one more season. Murphy spoke at a luncheon for the Milwaukee Press Club on Wednesday. He said Packer officials expect Brett’s decision this week sometime. He said his guess is that Favre will come back.

The Packers released eight-year veteran Bubba Franks on Wednesday. They also slapped defensive tackle Corey Williams with the franchise tag. As a franchise player, Williams can negotiate with other teams. However, if a team signs him to a deal and the Packers don’t match the offer, that team has to give up two first-round picks.
