Green Bay Station Nixes Seinfeld Broadcasts For Manning

No Jerry?

A Green Bay television station will pull its regularly-scheduled “Seinfeld” rerun on Saturday to try and upset Giants quarterback Eli Manning’s schedule.  According to “Newsday,” the general manager at Channel 11 WLUK made the decision because Manning is a fan of the show.  On Sunday, the Giants and Packers will play in Green Bay for the NFC title and the right to play in Super Bowl 42.  “Seinfeld” reruns usually run at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday on the station, a time Manning is not scheduled to be doing anything.  The station’s website is conducting a poll to see what Packers fans want to show instead.  By Wednesday, 65-percent said a special about legendary Packers head coach Vince Lombardi should air, 18-percent said a local rerun about a Packers wide receiver would be best, and nine-percent wanted an infomercial starring former Cowboys star Emmitt Smith.
