Jolly Will Miss Two Weeks
Defensive tackle Johnny Jolly will be out for at least two weeks with a shoulder strain suffered the Carolina game. The Packers have a short turnaround this week, as they gear up to play the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. Head coach Mike McCarthy will plug Corey Williams into Jolly’s spot.

Hall of Fame center and former NFL head coach Jim Ringo has died. The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s official website said Ringo passed away early Monday morning after battling a short illness. Ringo spent 15 seasons in the NFL. He played for the Green Bay Packers from 1953-1963, and the Philadelphia Eagles from 1964-67. [...]

Six players tried out with the Packers on Tuesday. One of those was quarterback Aaron Brooks, who was waived by the Oakland Raiders in February. In 1999, the Packers drafted Brooks in the fourth round from Virginia. The Pack traded him to New Orleans the following year.
