Packers Set for Primetime Showdown with Cowboys
Posted by Matt Loede on November 29th, 2007 filed in NewsFor the eighth time in NFL history two 10-and-1 teams will battle it out when the Cowboys host the Packers Thursday night at Texas Stadium. The two teams are tied for the best record in the NFC and are in first-place in their respective divisions. The Packers have won six straight and own a commanding four-game lead in the NFC North. Green Bay beat the Detroit Lions 37-26 on Thanksgiving Day. Brett Favre set a franchise record with 20 straight completions and finished with three touchdown passes for the Pack. The Cowboys are riding a five-game winning streak after pummeling the Jets 34-3 last Thursday. Tony Romo threw a pair of touchdowns for Dallas, which is off to the best start in franchise history. This is the first meeting between the two clubs since 2004, when the Packers won 41-20 in Green Bay.
