Packers To Skip Turkey, Dine On Lion
Posted by Matt Loede on November 21st, 2007 in News
The Packers will be trading in their Thanksgiving turkey for a serving of Lion tomorrow. The team travels to Detroit today after a morning jog-through in Green Bay. The red hot Packers are focusing on winning another game, and staying quiet about the NFL probe into alleged rule violations. Cornerbacks Charles Woodson and Al Harris both say they knew nothing about the ESPN report that some players offered cash bounties to defensive lineman for in-game goals. Packers’ starter Johnny Jolly is sidelined for the next two games with an injured shoulder. Colin Cole will move into Jolly’s spot in the starting rotation tomorrow against the Lions.
