NFL Probes Alleged Incentives Paid By Packer Players

The NFL is investigating whether some Packers players broke league rules by paying incentives to their teammates.  Packers defensive backs reportedly offered $500 to each of the team’s defensive linemen if they held Vikings running back Adrian Peterson to fewer than 100 yards in the November 11th game.  The defensive linemen were also allegedly offered $500 if they held the Panthers to fewer than 60 yards rushing on Sunday.  Packers general manager Ted Thompson says the team is cooperating in the investigation.  He believes the players might not have known about the rule.  The players who were allegedly involved have not been named.
