Big Packer Win Equals Big Numbers for ESPN’s MNF

If ESPN wants big ratings for Monday Night Football, they should consider having the Packers on more often.  Monday night’s thrilling 19-13 OT win over the Broncos produced some very solid numbers for the network.  In Milwaukee, which is a metered market, the game had a 15.5 rating on ESPN and a 33.3 rating on local channel WISN. The combined rating, 48.8, means 48.8 percent of the TV sets in the Milwaukee area that were turned on were tuned to the game.  For those that stayed tuned to the end, they got what they paid for, as the Packers won on the first play of OT with a bomb from Brett Favre to Greg Jennings that sent the team to 6-1.
