Wells Suffers Broken Eye Socket
Packers offensive lineman Scott Wells suffered a broken eye socket in Sunday’s loss to the Bears. He’ll miss at least one game and possibly more. Backup Jason Spitz is in line to start at center Sunday against Washington.

The Packers worked out six free agents on Tuesday, including linebacker Joe Martin from San Diego State, tight end Tim Massaquoi of Michigan, linebacker Matt Muncy of Ohio, linebacker Mickey Pimentel of California, linebacker Kyle Shotwell of California Polytechnic and linebacker Danny Wheeler of Georgia.

Packers quarterback Brett Favre and Oakland Raiders signal-caller Daunte Culpepper headline the NFL’s Players of the Week. Favre became the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdown passes in last Sunday’s win over the Vikings. Favre tossed for 344 yards with a pair of scores en route to winning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
