Packers’ Walker Has Surgery
Packers cornerback Frank Walker had arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday, and will likely be out for a month. He tore his knee cartilage covering a punt Sunday against Washington. Packers cornerback Charles Woodson was named the NFC defensive player of the week for Week Six. Woodson notched four tackles, an interception and two fumble recoveries in Green Bay’s 17-14 victory over Washington. He took one of the fumbles back 57 yards for the game-winning touchdown. Before the Packers scattered to enjoy some time off during the bye week, they took part in a Life Skills Seminar sponsored by the NFL. The program is designed to help players deal with life off the field. The next game for the Pack is Monday, October 29th against the Denver Broncos.
