The Packers lost a preseason game to the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-13 last night at Lambeau Field. Brett Favre went 14-of-20 for 130 yards and Aaron Rodgers threw for 82 yards on 6-of-9 passing for the Packers, who fell to 2-and-1 in the preseason. Both teams played their starters for most of the first half. The Packers play Tennessee next Thursday night. Head coach Mike McCarthy says he’s leaning toward not playing Favre in the exhibition finale at Tennessee.
Wide receiver Donald Driver suffered a sprained foot in last night’s game. McCarthy says he doesn’t know yet how serious the injury is. Driver was still on the field when the injury happened, despite the fact that Brett Favre had been removed two plays earlier. McCarthy says hindsight tells him Driver should have been taken out with Favre.
