Favre Leaves Team After Death of Wife’s Stepfather

The Packers will be without QB Brett Favre for a few days as the vet has left camp after a death in the family. Favre’s wife’s stepfather, Rocky Byrd, died on Sunday. The QB did take part in the team’s practice Sunday night, and then left and will miss the next few days. It has been a trying few years for the Favre family, as Brett’s father, Irv, died the night before a game against Oakland in December of 2003. His brother-in-law died in an ATV accident, and he also has had to deal with his wife’s breast cancer. Aaron Rodgers will take snaps with the first team for till Favre returns to the team.
